Brianna Roskamp
I offer counseling for adults and relationships navigating complexity, identity, and emotional nuance. My work is grounded in the belief that there isn’t one right way to be human or to build a life and relationships that feel meaningful.
I aim to create a space that feels calm, affirming, and non-judgmental. This is a place where you don’t need to edit yourself, over-explain, or arrive with everything figured out. We slow things down, look at what’s actually happening beneath the surface, and work toward change that feels intentional and sustainable.
My Approach
My work is collaborative, grounded, and paced with care. Sessions are conversational and focused, with room for both reflection and practical tools.
Rather than chasing quick fixes or labels, I help clients:
notice patterns that keep showing up
understand emotional and relational needs
strengthen communication and self-trust
build skills that fit real life, not just theory
I value honesty, consent, curiosity, and emotional safety in the work we do together.
Who I often work with
non-monogamous relationships and relational complexity
LGBTQIA+ individuals and relationships
neurodivergent clients
people looking for affirming care without being pathologized
I work from an affirming, sex-positive, and kink-aware lens. These topics don’t need to be the focus of our work, but they’re welcome here when they’re part of your lived experience.
What sessions are like
Sessions tend to feel steady, thoughtful, and human. We move at a pace that feels manageable, focusing on what’s coming up for you rather than what you think “should” be happening.
I draw from emotionally focused, attachment-based, and values-centered approaches while staying responsive to your goals and needs. My role isn’t to tell you who to be, but to support you in understanding yourself and your relationships more clearly so you can move forward with intention.
Professional background
I hold a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and have received training in couples counseling with attention to diverse relationship dynamics. I have experience working with non-monogamous relationship structures as well as LGBTQIA+ relationships, and I approach this work with a commitment to inclusive, ethical care.
Prior to entering the counseling field, my background was in education. That experience continues to shape how I work today, especially when it comes to meeting people where they are, communicating clearly, and supporting growth in a way that feels accessible and practical rather than overwhelming.
I engage in ongoing education and consultation to support my clinical work and to ensure the care I offer remains thoughtful, grounded, and responsive.
I am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern in the state of Florida. In accordance with Florida Law, I operate under the supervision of a Licensed Qualified Supervisor.
Outside the office
Outside of work, I’m pretty low-key. I’m based in Florida and live with my partner and our rescue cats, including Boots in the photo above. I enjoy quiet routines, time at home, and having something creative to work on, like crocheting, while I unwind.
I appreciate downtime that feels calm rather than busy, and that preference for steadiness carries into my work as well.
